Scarlett Kopchak, Office Assistant
I am originally from Orange County, NY and relocated to the Lake Norman area with my family in 2004. My fiancé and I have two adorable poodles, named Bailey and Trixie, who are such a joy to have around. I enjoy music, being outdoors, walking, exercising, pet sitting, helping others, volunteering and spending time with family and friends. I am a proud supporter of the ASPCA and The Humane Society of the United States for the humane and ethical treatment of animals. This is one of my favorite quotes, “The greatness of a nation…can be judged by the way it treats its animals.” – Gandhi
I have always had an interest in healthy living, nutrition and holistic health care. After joining Best Acupuncture in 2008 as the Office Assistant, I learned even more. What started out as just a job has turned into something much more for me. When a patient enters the front door of Best Acupuncture, I begin to take part in their individual healing experiences and I enjoy watching them along their journey to optimum health. I have learned the benefits of Oriental Medicine and have fortunately had the opportunity to experience it first hand for myself. Acupuncture has helped relieve the constant hand pain I had suffered with for over five years. I encourage anyone who is in pain or suffering to try acupuncture. You may be surprised to learn how acupuncture can help you.
Janet Salpietra, Exam Care Manager
I grew up in Northport, NY on Long Island and graduated from SUNY at Albany with a degree in Business Administration. I attended graduate school at NYU in New York City but got sidetracked before I finished by a new baby girl. I went on to have two more children and have never looked back. I moved to Huntersville, NC with my husband Ron, and children Laura, Daniel, and Michele in 1996. I have enjoyed watching the Lake Norman area grow around me. I have spent most of my time in North Carolina raising my three wonderful children. In 2008, I joined Best Acupuncture and have enjoyed learning all about acupuncture. I am now an Exam Care Manager and this role allows me to witness how acupuncture can truly improve people’s lives. I feel very fortunate to have re-entered the workforce in an environment where I work with great people in a practice that attracts so many warm and friendly patients. I enjoy volunteering at the local schools, reading, yoga, and walking my two dogs. Boomer, a golden retriever and Bella, a Bijon poodle mix, are gradually becoming our two new kids.
